What Is the NDIS?

The NDIS is a national program funded by the Australian Government to support people with permanent or significant disabilities. It provides individuals with the freedom to choose and control the supports and services they need to live a fulfilling life.

Through the NDIS, eligible participants can access funding for:

  • Daily personal activities and community participation

  • Assistance with transport and mobility

  • Building daily living and independence skills

  • Allied health and therapy services

  • Support coordination and plan management

  • Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)

At My Access Support Services, we help participants understand their plans, navigate the system, and connect with quality supports that make a difference.

How To Apply For NDIS Access Funding & Supports

Applying for the NDIS can be done directly through the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) or with help from your GP, support worker, or a provider like us.

Here’s how the process works:

  1. Check your eligibility – Use the official NDIS eligibility tool.

  2. Make an Access Request – Call the NDIS on 1800 800 110 or complete the Access Request Form.

  3. Provide supporting evidence – You’ll need medical and functional assessments showing how your disability affects your daily life.
